Need help with Intercore? Have a question, bug report, or feature request? We read every message and respond as quickly as we can.
To help us resolve your issue faster, please include the following information in your message:
Solution:
1. Make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network (not mobile data).
2. Check that your router allows devices to communicate with each other (some public/guest networks block this — try a home network).
3. Restart the app on both devices.
4. Restart your Wi-Fi router if the issue persists.
5. On Android, ensure the app has permission to run in the background (check battery optimization settings).
Solution:
1. Check your Wi-Fi signal strength — weak signal can cause slow or failed transfers.
2. Try transferring a smaller file first to test the connection.
3. Make sure both devices have enough storage space.
4. Restart the app on both devices.
5. If using Windows, check that Windows Firewall isn't blocking the app.
Solution:
1. Make sure the devices are connected (you should see "Connected" status in the app).
2. Try copying something simple like plain text first (not images or large content).
3. On Windows, make sure clipboard history is enabled in Settings → System → Clipboard.
4. On macOS, grant the app Accessibility permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
5. Restart the app on both devices.
Solution:
1. On Android, open Settings → Apps → Intercore → Permissions → Special app access → Notification access and enable it for Intercore.
2. Make sure the PC app is running and connected to your phone.
3. Test by making a test call to your phone.
4. Check that your PC's notification settings allow app notifications.
Solution:
1. Make sure you have the latest version installed (check our website).
2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
3. On Android, clear the app's cache: Settings → Apps → Intercore → Storage → Clear Cache (not Clear Data).
4. On Windows, try running the app as Administrator.
5. On macOS, if you see "App can't be opened," follow the instructions in the installation modal.
6. If the issue persists, contact us with your device info and any error messages.
Solution:
This is normal for apps downloaded outside the Play Store. Google Play Protect flags all sideloaded apps as "potentially harmful" by default.
1. When you see the warning, tap "More details" or "Install anyway".
2. The app is completely safe — this warning appears for all apps not distributed through Google Play.
3. Once Intercore is available on the Play Store (coming soon!), this warning will no longer appear.
Solution:
This is Apple's Gatekeeper security feature. Since we're a small indie app and haven't paid for Apple's $99/year developer certificate yet, macOS blocks the app by default.
To fix (one-time setup):
1. Open Terminal (search for it in Spotlight).
2. Paste this command and press Enter:
codesign --force --deep --sign - /Applications/Intercore.app && xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Intercore.app
3. Now open Intercore normally — it will work!
This is 100% safe and only needs to be done once. Once we grow, we'll go through Apple's official approval process.
